After reinstalling windows I'm unable to find an SM bus controller driver. I've downloaded all updates from microsoft, all software and drivers for my laptop from the HP drivers downloads page and have installed the wincows and chipset drivers directly from AMD using their autodetect system. Below is as much info on my laptop as I can find, any help would be massively appreciated. Go to Solution.
View solution in original post. It worked! Thank you so much I've been going round in circles with this and you answered my yp within minutes with a working fix, Brilliant! In other devices there is still an unknown device, there were 2 but I assumed they were to do with the SM Bus controller but I think it may be the card reader driver, not too concerned now I can rule out that bus controller. Please post the hardware ID's for the unknown devices needing drivers, so I can figure out what driver they need.
